Traverse City is very forunate to be able to get the best of all the seasons. Our summer's are great! We have many lakes and beaches to live summer to the fullest.
 
What to do?
TC has lots of summer activities. There are many lakes and beaches to visit; such as Sliver lake, Long lake, Torch lake, and even the Grand Traverse bay. Of course Cherry Festival is a deffinate activity.  The 83rd National Cherry Festival will be held July 4 - 11.  Like always it will be held on West Grand Traverse Bay by the Clinch Park Zoo and the Open Space.  There are lots of golf courses in the area to play on.  Like the Grand Traverse Resort offers three of the best golf courses in all of Michigan.  Traverse City has courses for all levels of skill. Ranging from Bay Meadows to The Bear, anyone can play in Traverse City.

TC WOLVES!

A new and sweet thing is coming to Traverse City....A semi pro football team.  The TC Wolves will be hitting the gridiron this summer!
                              
TRAVERSE CITY BEACH BUMS

If your looking for something to do over the summer, try hitting up a Beach Bums game at Wuerfel Park.  Every Friday there is even a firework show after the game!
Not only is it a nice event to watch, you get to participate as well.  After each inning there are field events to partcipate in!

                                      
The Beach Bums placed second in the east division with a 50-46 record.  Giving them 4th place in the Frontier League.
